Michael Elion, “Rainbow” (2012)
“Rainbow” forms part of Commune1 gallery’s first Birthday Group Show (14 Sept - 14 Oct) as well as an event for Creative Week in Cape Town. ‘Rainbow’ will be turned on every sunny day from 2:45pm - 3:45pm until 14 Oct, 2012.
“Rainbow” is a magical creation in which the forces of nature are engineered to perform their most spectacular display in the streets of Cape Town, transforming a banal urban landscape into a moment of wonder. Some of Michael’s previous urban installations include: I Love You! (Cape Town 2011-12), Halo (Paris 2009), Pink Street (Paris 2008), Archair (London 2004)
