This week, Hyperallergic intern Janelle Grace, aka @RudyHuxtable, will begin contributing to the Hyperallergic LABS Tumblelog. She will curate a stream of images inspired by/related to the BP Oil Spill. On April 20th, BP’s Deepwater Hoirzon oil rig blew up in the Gulf of Mexico and created the largest off-shore oil spill in US history. The tragedy and ecological disaster has since inspired a reawakening of environmental consciousness in America and the World. This is the first in a series of weeklong explorations by Janelle and others on Hyperallergic LABS that will focus on a topic and explore it visually for seven days. We hope it will complement our regular posts while offering perspectives on a current topic.
