“Refugees in, Nazis out / Governments here should feel the shame / Fucking liars, you’re to blame,” Pussy Riot sing in their just-released video, “Refugees In.” Filmed during the Russian punk band’s September 25th performance at Banksy’s Dismaland, the video is dedicated to the more than 750,000 refugees who have arrived in Europe so far in 2015. Most are escaping from war or persecution in Syria, Afghanistan, Eritrea, Iraq, Sudan, and thousands are dying along the way. Refugees, for example, are not allowed to apply for asylum outside the UK, so they’re forced to travel there illegally.

Today, it was officially announced that British artist Banksy has constructed a dystopian riff on Disneyland in a derelict seaside resort in Weston-super-Mare, England. Called Dismaland, the ambitious five-week project is sure to attract visitors eager for the artist’s brand of viral culture jamming and populist humor, but there’s a twist. Most of the art on display at Dismaland is not by Banksy — though he has contributed 10 new works — but by 58 artists invited to participate, including blue-chip names Damien Hirst, Jenny Holzer, and David Shrigley, and popular artists associated with street art like Espo, Escif, Bäst, and El Teneen. The scale of the project is impressive.

The elusive street artist Banksy has released a two-minute video (posted below) featuring his new art works in Gaza which highlight the plight of the area’s 1.8 million Palestinian residents. “Gaza is often described as ‘the world’s largest open air prison’ because no-one is allowed to enter or leave,” his website explains. “But that seems a bit unfair to prisons – they don’t have their electricity and drinking water cut off randomly almost every day.”
